Building Strong Families -
Homelessness Prevention Program
A house is more than four walls. It contains the heart of the family. JFCS's Building Strong Families program works with families to prevent homelessness in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
TAKE ACTION
JFCS works with you in two ways. The first is by providing a long-term plan to maintain financial and emotional stability of the family. The second is by providing immediate resources to stabilize your current housing problem.
If you face one of these problems that might cause you to lose your home, call JFCS for help:
- Domestic violence
- Substance abuse
- Divorce/separation
- Medical crisis
- Employment loss or pay cut
- Legal difficulties
- Financial crisis
- Risk of eviction or foreclosure
- Can benefit from landlord-tenant mediation
- Can benefit from integrated homeless prevention case management
Everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to live. Preventing homelessness is one of many ways JFCS works to keep families intact and living together.
To find out if you qualify, contact the Building Strong Families Coordinator at 941-366-2224.
