Holocaust Survivors Support Calendar of Events

Experienced case managers assist survivors in identifying challenges and connecting to needed financial resources.  Social avenues are available through linking with the Sarasota-Manatee Federation for Jewish Holiday celebrations.

While Holocaust survivors suffer from many of the same issues as other seniors in our community, they also have the added burden of the trauma of surviving a devastating experience.  They are often isolated by their lack of understanding of the resources that may be available to them. The Holocaust Case Manager can assist survivors and their families in identifying resources both locally and through the German Government to obtain home health, financial and emergency services and compensation while engaging them in support and socialization activities with fellow survivors.

“My wife is a Holocaust Survivor and I am her full-time caregiver.  Thanks to the support from JFCS we are receiving 4 hours of homecare each week and have been awarded a significant amount of back reparations from the Claims Committee which will provide monthly income for her medical care and living expenses.”
