Healthy Families / Healthy Children
Healthy Families/Healthy Children (HFHC) is a specially designed program offered by JFCS to help new and expectant parents strengthen their relationship and parenting skills.
Couples participate in the nationally recognized “Love’s Cradle”© educational and support group classes which focus on skills to:
- Raise a healthy and successful child through improved parenting skills
- Discover ways to renew intimacy and enhance mutual respect
- Strengthen your love, commitment and friendship
- Learn how to handle finances together
HFHC provides one-on-one family supportive services in the home to ensure the couples and family’s progress through greater access to community and financial resources.
| HFHC PROGRAM BENEFITS INCLUDE: |
- HFHC is a FREE program for couples 18 years of age or older, who are unwed and expectant or new parents of a baby 3 months of age or younger
- Free lunch or dinner with your family at “Love’s Cradle”© group classes
- One-on-one family in-home supportive services
- Assistance baby sitting for infants while their parents attend groups
- Help with transportation to group classes
- Alumni support for program graduates
- Free booster sessions for graduates to practice or learn new skills
