Anger Management
Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Anger is something that makes us, and those around us, toxic if we don't learn how to manage it well. The art of managing anger and understanding where it comes from are acquired skills which you can learn and practice in this group.
Bereavement Support Group
Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
This group, for people at all stages of loss, provides opportunities to hear how others deal with grief, share experiences, receive support and discover new ways to cope. Group is free, pre-registration is required.
Bereavement Support Group for Parents & Grandparents
First Thursday of each month, 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
The death of a child or grandchild is one of the deepest losses people may experience. This monthly support group provides the opportunity to receive support, discover ways to cope and hear how others deal with the loss of a child. Group is free, pre-registration is required.
Caregiver Support Group
Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (JFCS)
Fridays, 1:15-3:00 p.m. (St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Venice)
Caregivers participate in a weekly support group to discuss concerns and gain knowledge about community resources. Respite care for loved ones is provided during the session. Funded through a grant from the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida.
Healthy Families / Healthy Children

HF/HC provides new or expectant parent couples who are 18 years of age or older with group classes that can help them learn new ways of handling relationship and parenting issues successfully. HF/HC programming also includes individualized supportive care and referral services for couples and families. All HF/HC services are provided at no cost and in Spanish and English.
Marriage Breakthrough Group

Based on the work of Michelle Weiner-Davis, author of Divorce Busting and The Sex Starved Marriage, this four-week interactive video seminar is for couples who argue about the same old subjects, feel angry, resentful or misunderstood much of the time and/or feel hopeless and are considering divorce but still value the relationship. Attending this seminar will make you and your partner feel more connected by providing practical and effective skills to improve communication and handle conflict constructively. Fee is $20 per session per couple.
Parenting Class
Thursdays, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Children don't come with manuals and parenting is the most important job you'll ever do. The Parenting Class provides insight into questions and issues that come up in everyday life, and will help you to manage the challenges that come your way.
Senior Outreach Services
Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Temple Beth Israel)
Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. (JFCS)
Homebound older adults can maintain their independence, increase their involvement with friends and community, and enhance their mental health through education and social activities. Medicare assignment accepted. Transportation and lunch provided by JFCS.
