Poster for a Where Are My Keys? Chorale event.

This new choir, which began in 2019, provides positive and joyful experiences for those living with memory loss and their care partners. WAMK Chorale is a collaboration between Key Chorale and Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast. Two eight-week sessions are planned for each year, led by Maestro Caulkins with the assistance of Key Chorale volunteer singers. The group explores the potential of people living with memory loss to experience renewed purpose, learning, friendships, and happiness. More than 30 singers participated in the inaugural semester and found the sessions uplifting, fulfilling and fun as well as an important part of their memory care.

Our special choral group is for persons with memory impairment and their caregivers. The chorale meets weekly for a sing-a-long of favorite and familiar tunes.

Each semester is a unique curriculum of vocal exercises, breathing exercises, and musical selections around a theme which concludes with an end of session performance for friends and family.

No auditions necessary!
